Job summary

The German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest (GACC Midwest) offers a 9-12 month internship in the Consulting department, based in our downtown Chicago office. Interns must reside in the Greater Chicago Area or be available to relocate before the start date, with compensation of $3,000 per month.

Qualifications

• High-level proficiency in English; advanced German language skills a plus.
• Strong research and communication skills with attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Strong understanding of fundamental business concepts.
• Strong interest in learning more about new technology and its applications in the U.S. market.
• Interest in working with an international team and motivation to help GACC Midwest accomplish its mission.

Responsibilities

• Support project management, planning, and implementation of virtual and in-person business delegation programs.
• Participate in event and conference planning and implementation for the delegations.
• Research and identify potential US business partners and coordinate outreach and B2B meetings.
• Conduct primary and secondary research to gather market insights for client companies.
• Aid in researching, writing, and potential publication of market analyses.
• Assist in answering initial inquiries from German companies on import/export regulations and US market entry.
