Job summary

Pasco County Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant IA for ESOL at Rodney B Cox Elementary in Dade City, FL. The role involves assisting teachers to maintain an organized classroom and facilitate ESOL instruction under a Highly Qualified Teacher's supervision.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree or 60 college hours, with ParaPro eligibility and required trainings completed. Bilingual or multilingual能力 in English and another language spoken by at least 15 students is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited institution in Education or related field.
• 60 semester hours of college/university coursework from an accredited institution.
• Obtain qualifying score to pass the ParaPro Assessment.
• All employees must satisfactorily complete required trainings.
• All employees must meet mandated federal and state health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher(s) in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning educational environment.
• Support ESOL/Bilingual instructional activities under the supervision of a Highly Qualified Teacher.
