Job summary

Ability Beyond is hiring two Employment Specialists in the Greater New Haven area. One position requires bilingual Spanish/English skills, while the other seeks individuals with lived experience of Substance Use Disorder.

This role involves supporting individuals in building job readiness and self-esteem through personalized coaching, while collaborating with community partners to create inclusive employment opportunities.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

• Partner with employers and community organizations to create inclusive, recovery‑friendly employment opportunities.
• Offer consistent follow‑up, encouragement, and advocacy to help individuals maintain employment and stability.
• Identify job opportunities, develop soft skills, and network with different departments or companies.
• Complete required documentation accurately and conduct follow‑up visits to ensure success.

What You Will Need

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, human services, or a related field OR relevant experience.
