Job summary

NATIONMIND LLC is seeking a bilingual Elementary Teacher (Spanish) to join our team for the remainder of the school year. The role requires teaching English and Spanish to K–8, supporting multilingual learners, and fostering a positive classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, valid NJ DOE Elementary certificate, and a Bilingual Endorsement in Spanish, with fluency in both languages and prior K–8 teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Valid NJ DOE Instructional Certificate (Elementary K–8 or equivalent).
• Valid NJ DOE Bilingual Endorsement in Spanish required.
• Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
• Previous K–8 teaching experience preferred.
• Strong classroom management and instructional practices.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish to K-8.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with NJ Student Learning Standards.
• Support English Language Learners through bilingual instruction.
• Create a safe, inclusive, engaging classroom environment.
• Prepare instructional materials and assign classwork/homework.
• Assess, grade, and provide feedback on student work.
• Maintain attendance and student progress records.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and administration.
• Communicate with families regarding student performance.
• Document and report behavioral or academic concerns.

The ideal candidate will provide instruction in both English and Spanish, support multilingual learners, and create a positive, engaging classroom environment that promotes academic and social-emotional growth.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish to K-8
• Develop lesson plans aligned with NJ Student Learning Standards
• Support English Language Learners (ELLs) through bilingual instruction
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Prepare instructional materials and assign classwork/homework
• Assess, grade, and provide feedback on student work
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and administration
• Communicate with families regarding student performance
• Document and report behavioral or academic concerns

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Valid NJ DOE Instructional Certificate (Elementary K–8 or appropriate subject area)
• Valid NJ DOE Bilingual/Bicultural Endorsement (Spanish)
• Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
• Previous K–8 teaching experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of classroom management and instructional best practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Important Certification Requirement

Candidates must hold BOTH:

• A valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of Elementary School K–8 or equivalent)
• AND a Bilingual Endorsement in Spanish

Candidates with only a bilingual endorsement (no base certificate) will not be considered.
