Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training.
• Demonstrated competency in the academic subject area assigned; knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to the district’s curriculum and TEKS guidelines.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials reflecting students’ learning styles.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula for IEPs.
• Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process and promote student engagement.
• Establish professional relationships and communicate with parents and staff.
• Manage classroom behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
