McMinnville School District seeks an Instructional Assistant II – EL Assistant at Duniway Middle School to support licensed teachers under a prescribed lesson plan. The role emphasizes bilingual translation between Spanish and English and assisting English Language Learners, with a focus on safe, positive learning environments.

The position is 6.75 hours per day, 183 days per year, with paid holidays and leave benefits.

Competenze

Fluent verbal and written skills in Spanish and English are highly preferred.
Education: Completed associate or higher degree with the required college hours or demonstrated ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics.
Experience: Prior work or volunteer experience with school-age children is preferred.
Fingerprint clearance from the Oregon Department of Education is required.
Ability to read, write, and speak effectively and maintain confidentiality.

Mansioni

Assists through one-on-one and small group instruction and tutoring, including testing and clerical duties.
Assists English Language Learners in instructional and supervision processes.
Communicates with parents/guardians on behalf of teachers or administrators.
Works under licensed teachers or administrators who assign instructional activities.
Conducts student testing, records scores, and informs teachers of needs.
Promotes safety and supports positive interpersonal relationships among students.
