Job summary

Family Building Blocks in Salem, OR is hiring an Early Head Start Home Visitor who works Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm. The role is English/Spanish bilingual, offering language differential pay for bilingual staff and a competitive starting wage.

You will conduct weekly home visits to support infant/toddler development, identify family strengths, and connect families with community resources. A CDA/AA in ECE and a valid Oregon driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Home-Based CDA or comparable credential, or an AA in Early Childhood with 20 ECE credits.
• One year of social services experience with infant/toddler development and at-risk families.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test; Oregon driver’s license with good record.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly home visits focusing on child development and family support.
• Encourage safe, nurturing home learning environments for infants/toddlers.
• Provide parents with tools to be their child’s first teacher and advocate.
• Complete health tracking, developmental screenings, and help families access resources.
