Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers seeks a Child Development Center Teacher in Seattle, WA. You will plan activities, implement developmentally appropriate programs, and support children’s growth in a culturally aware environment.

The role requires CDA/AA, two years’ experience, and STARS training. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Sea Mar offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• AA is required and CDA or equivalent degree in Early Childhood Education.
• 30 hours initial STARS training within first 6 months of employment.
• Two years’ work experience in a child care setting required.
• CDC Teacher must relate to children and families from diverse backgrounds.
• HIV and Child Abuse and Neglect training as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programming.
• Develop anti-bias culturally relevant curriculum.
• Create a stimulating environment to support curiosity.
• Maintain classroom discipline and positive relationships with families.
• Document children’s development and educational records.
• Participate in Sea Mar events and team meetings.
