Job summary

Braverhood is seeking part-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who are bilingual in Spanish and English to support individuals with disabilities in Brooklyn, both in-home and in the community.

Hours are primarily afternoons and/or weekends. The team focuses on creating a supportive environment, helping clients achieve personal goals, and adhering to agency and OPWDD regulations. Training is provided online after hire.

Qualifications

• Experience with the special needs community preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Online DSP training course must be completed.
• Punctual and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive environment to help individuals achieve personal goals.
• Work with Case Supervisors on monthly goals and action plans.
• Document services and client progress daily and monthly.
• Provide support for individuals with various developmental disabilities in home and community.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training once a year.
• Submit all paperwork and monthly summaries on time.
• Adhere to all agency and OPWDD regulations.
