Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Pleasant Hill, AL seeks a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles, deliver parts to professional customers, process COD deliveries, and collect returns. The role includes maintaining vehicles, securing cash & equipment, and providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company’s 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
• Familiar with automotive parts.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and inspect daily before operation.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, handheld devices, and monies collected at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store management immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicles are locked at end of day.
• Clock in/out per company policy; perform duties such as stocking, merchandising, and customer service as needed.
• May assist customers, act as cashier, and help with merchandising when business requires.
