Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate and maintain store vehicles, deliver parts to professional customers, and collect money for C.O.D. deliveries. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and you may assist customers at times as needed.

The role involves managing fleet devices, performing daily vehicle inspections, and keeping all assets secure. You will also participate in returns, stock duties, and general store tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company driving eligibility requirements.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the company’s 14/18-point standard.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, and update mileage.
• Keep vehicles clean and perform daily inspections.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, devices, and money at all times.
• Pickup customer returns and fill out driver return slip.
• Communicate issues or special needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs or damage to the store manager.
• Ensure fuel is topped off and vehicle is secured at end of day.
• Clock in/out according to policy.
• Assist customers as needed and help with merchandising or stocking.
