Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a patient accounts representative to assist patients with self-pay balances and to manage AR tasks. The role includes reviewing balance details, posting payments and adjustments, and ensuring accurate EOB handling.

Ideal candidates have a year of AR experience and 6 months medical exposure, plus proficiency in Word and Excel. This is a remote Florida-based opportunity with comprehensive benefits and background screening requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months of medical experience preferred.
• One (1) year of customer service and accounts receivable experience.
• Experience with Word and Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance, support and direction to patients via incoming and outbound calls regarding self-pay balances due.
• Review assigned portion of patient accounts receivable to determine next steps based on SOPs.
• Post patient payments and adjustments as required based on SOPs.
• Knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOB) is desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• - Provide assistance, support and direction to Florida Cancer Specialist (FCS) patients via incoming and outbound calls regarding self-pay balances due. -
• Review assigned portion of patient accounts receivable to determine if assistance can be provided and/or next steps needed based on standard operating procedures. -
• Post patient payments and adjustments as required based on standard operating procedure. -
• Explanation of Benefits (EOB)Knowledge desired.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED required -
• Six (6) months of medical experience preferred -
• One (1) year of customer service and accounts receivable experience -
• Experience with Word, Excel, organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication skills required
