Job summary

A&C Private Home Care in Georgia is seeking compassionate Personal Care Aides to enrich clients' lives with personalized in-home support. You will assist with daily tasks, hygiene, meal preparation, and transportation, while ensuring safety and dignity for immobile or frail clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience (preferred).
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• TB test up-to-date or willingness to acquire one.
• Flexible schedule availability.
• Ability to assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation and running errands.

Responsibilities

• Providing immobile, recovering, or frail clients with support, company and comfort.
• Reporting changes in client condition to relevant parties.
• Assisting with personal hygiene including bathing, dressing, and oral care.
• Engaging clients in activities and companionship.
• Performing basic housekeeping, including cleaning and laundry.
• Running errands and assisting with household finances and bills.
• Accompanying clients to medical appointments and arranging transportation.
• Providing mobility support with walking aids and wheelchairs.
• Maintaining a hygienic, tidy and safe environment.

What we're Looking For

• CPR Certification & TB Test: You must be CPR certified or willing to obtain certification prior to starting. An up-to-date TB test is also required, or you must be willing to acquire one before beginning work.
• Experience is a Plus: While prior experience in home care is a bonus, it's not required. We provide the training and support you need to excel in this rewarding field.

Job Details

• Providing immobile, recovering, or frail clients with support, company, and comfort.
• Reporting changes in the physical, mental, and emotional conditions of clients to relevant parties.
• Providing support with personal hygiene, including bathroom visits, bathing, dressing, and brushing teeth.
• Engaging clients in suitable activities, such as playing games, taking walks, or having conversations.
• Performing basic housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and preparing meals.
• Assisting clients with household finances, bills, and payments, as well as running errands.
• Accompanying clients on outings and arranging transportation to medical appointments.
• Providing mobility support, including assistance with walking aids and wheelchairs.
• Maintaining a hygienic, tidy, and safe environment.

Pay Rate: $15 - $16 Hourly

Key Considerations:

• Safety: Always ensure that transfers are done safely, with proper technique, to avoid injury to both the client and the caregiver.
• Dignity: Respect the client's dignity during personal care activities, including bathing and brief changes.
• Communication: Keep an open line of communication with the client to understand their comfort level and any changes in their needs.
