Lockhart ISD in Texas seeks an instructional assistant to support classroom teachers, prepare instructional materials, and help maintain an orderly learning environment. This role works under the supervision of a certified teacher and involves direct student contact.

Responsibilities include assisting with testing, supporting small groups, supervising students, and participating in staff development and faculty meetings. Bilingual abilities are preferred and the position is typically on-site.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Texas educational aide certificate required.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests or work assignments.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Provide assistance to substitute teachers.
• Conduct instructional exercises with individual students or small groups.
• Help supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside the classroom.
• Keep the teacher informed of student needs.
• Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
• Participate in faculty meetings and special events as assigned.
