Job summary

Chicago Public Schools seeks a Class Size Bilingual Education Teacher to support oversized classrooms in Priority Schools. Under the principal's supervision, you will be responsible for instruction, progress, and discipline of students in assigned classes and related duties.

You will plan lessons, assess language abilities, and adapt teaching strategies to help limited English proficient students access standards.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of student teaching requirements and coursework to obtain ISBE teaching certificate(s).
• Illinois State Board of Education-issued educator license with bilingual endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons and prepare for each student following CPS policies and Illinois Learning Standards.
• Administer language assessments to evaluate student language ability.
• Assess student progress and adapt instruction to support LEP students in the district.
