Job summary

Juniors Supermarkets is seeking a friendly cashier to provide efficient checkout service in a fast-paced store environment. You will greet customers, process purchases, handle payments, and ensure accurate receipts while maintaining a clean, organized counter.

Strong communication and basic math skills are essential, with bilingual Spanish/English preferred. The role requires standing for long periods and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Cash handling experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service.
• Scan and process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other forms of payment; issue receipts.
• Bag or package customer purchases as needed.
• Answer customer inquiries and provide assistance with product selection.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Stock and replenish supplies at the checkout counter.
• Assist with other store tasks as assigned, such as stocking shelves or cleaning.
• Resolve customer complaints and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Promote store promotions and loyalty programs.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
