Job summary

TelevisaUnivision is seeking an Activations Technician in San Jose to support promotional initiatives for Local Media Bay Area. You will set up promotional items, banners, tables, tents, and sound equipment for remotes, special events, and station appearances, interfacing with clients and the public.

You will report to the Activations Supervisor. The role requires weekend/holiday flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, and basic video editing ability.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Ability to conduct call-in on-air announcements from site locations in Spanish.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Creative, organized, enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate with knowledge of digital social media.
• Strong social media skills and knowledge of current trends.
• Basic video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut)
• Bilingual in Spanish/English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Set up, test, operate, and tear down promotional, broadcast, and event equipment (audio, video, lighting, tents, banners, branded assets).
• Transport, inventory, maintain, and organize promotional materials and equipment.
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues during remotes and live events.
• Coordinate event setup and breakdown; ensure safety standards and venue requirements.
• Assist with remote broadcast operations including connectivity and power support.
• Maintain inventory of promotional items and activation equipment; report needs.
• Ensure displays and assets are clean and presentation-ready.
• Capture basic event photos/videos for promo and social media use.
• Support station marketing, community outreach, and client activation efforts.
• Represent the station professionally with listeners, clients, vendors, and partners.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and FCC regulations.
