Job summary

5th HQ is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our Accounting team in New York. You will manage invoicing, monitor outstanding balances, and ensure timely and accurate payments from clients.

You will maintain client accounts, perform payment processing, reconcile data, and generate regular billing reports. Excellent communication and meticulous organizational skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 1–2+ years of billing specialist experience preferred.
• Proficiency in 10-key and Microsoft Excel required.
• Ability to learn various accounting software quickly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Send invoices and updates to clients.
• Keep accurate records of client accounts and balances.
• Receive, sort, and track incoming payments.
• Validate debit accounts to ensure payment credibility.
• Issue receipts for payments received.
• Address client questions and resolve issues.
• Securely handle client data and payments.
• Provide regular billing data reports.
