Job summary

Butterfly Effects is seeking a bilingual Behavior Technician or RBT to support children with autism in home settings. The role runs 3–7 pm, part-time, with opportunities for growth toward BCBA credentials.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, optional RBT certification, and a passion for helping children. A valid driver’s license and a tablet or laptop are required. Training and supervision are provided.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • RBT certification if already obtained.
  • Passion for working with children.
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with children is advantageous.
  • Must have a tablet or laptop for sessions.
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA.
  • Observe and report client progress and behavior daily.
  • Manage challenging behaviors.
  • Apply behavioral principles consistently in all interactions.
  • Assist clients in acquiring academic and life skills.
  • Communicate professionally with parents, analysts, and clients.
  • Complete daily paperwork and data entries in the online database.
  • Participate in training programs to increase skills.
  • Maintain client confidentiality.
  • Follow Butterfly Effects policies and procedures.

What Do You Bring to the Role?

What Would You Be Doing?
  • Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
  • Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
  • Manages challenging behaviors.
  • Apply behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
  • Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
  • Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
  • Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
  • Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
  • Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client information.
  • Follows BE policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves working in natural environments, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
