Job Description
The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
2+ years of relevant experience
Bilingual - Spanish and English language proficiency is a must
0-2+ years’ experience with SQL/Java/Unix Proficiency: Ability to write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries; Expertise in data validation, joins, aggregations, and filtering logic.
ETL and Data Pipelines: Knowledge of ETL tools and processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading; Familiarity with data flow and pipeline troubleshooting.
Job Scheduling Tools: Experience with tools like Autosys, Control-M for job scheduling, dependencies, and calendar settings.
Data Analysis: Strong skills in analyzing large datasets for accuracy, completeness, and consistency; Familiarity with data formats (CSV, JSON, XML) and data mapping.
Scripting Languages: Basic knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, or similar languages for automation and data manipulation.
Database Management: Understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL); Familiarity with database schemas, indexing, and performance tuning.
Version Control: Experience with tools like Git for managing code and recon configurations.
Debugging and Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve issues in data pipelines, recon logic, and job configurations.
Recon domain knowledge. Basic understanding of Capital markets, data flow, trade life cycle etc. will be helpful
Proficiency in JSON, Python scripting is a plus
Financial Service industry experience is preferred
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision‑making skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
