Job summary

ServiceNet is seeking an AWC Support Staff member in Springfield, MA to assist an adult with daily living skills in a Spanish-language family home. This part-time, per-diem position offers up to 25 hours per week with mileage reimbursement and a $20.00 per hour wage.

The role involves recreational activities, skill-building support, and modeling appropriate behavior to help the individual reach goals and participate in the community.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Bi-lingual in English AND Spanish.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience supporting individuals with Autism in family home or community settings.

Responsibilities

• Engage, assist, instruct, motivate and monitor individuals in social/recreational, skill building and family directed activities.
• Learn the individualized services of each person and participate in their routine implementation.
• Accompany individual to appointments, social functions, recreational activities and other planned events, including transportation.
• Complete related records per standard format and maintain confidentiality.
• Respond to inquiries from family, visitors and staff per program standards.
• Submit weekly or bi-weekly time sheets with activity summaries.
