Job summary

Kïdo International Preschool is hiring a Bilingual Assistant Teacher for a Spanish Immersion Preschool in Houston. You will support the Lead Teacher, engage with young learners, and help create joyful learning experiences daily.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, bilingual Spanish/English fluency, and experience in licensed preschool settings. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Experience in a licensed preschool setting.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field OR CDA certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences
• Take initiative and proactively assist with classroom needs and daily routines
• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and team members
• Encourage open, positive communication with families to support each child’s development
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with your teaching team to support children socially, emotionally, and academically
• Assist with additional duties as requested by school leadership

• 5–10 years of experience in licensed childcare OR 2–3 years in a Montessori environment
