Job summary

Kïdo International Preschool in Houston, TX is seeking a nurturing Bilingual Assistant Teacher for a Spanish immersion program. You will support the Lead Teacher, engage with young learners, and help create joyful, inclusive learning experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in a licensed preschool setting.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Preferred: CDA certification or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
• Take initiative and proactively assist with classroom needs and daily routines.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Encourage open, positive communication with families to support each child’s development.
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with your teaching team to support children socially, emotionally, and academically.
• Assist with additional duties as requested by school leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field OR CDA certification
• 5–10 years of experience in licensed childcare OR 2–3 years in a Montessori environment
