Job summary

Groups Recover Together is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nurse (1099) to assist in intakes, monitor patients during group counseling, and authorize prescriptions during monthly visits. You will document in the EMR and work within a team-driven, protocol-based clinical system.

Ideal candidates hold an NP/APRN license, DEA, and board certification, with buprenorphine prescribing experience. Bilingual Spanish/English and in-office availability of at least 5 hours weekly are

Qualifications

• Active, Unencumbered NP/APRN license in the state of application
• Active, Individual DEA with address listed in the state of application
• DEAX designation or 8hrs SAMHSA training required
• Bilingual Spanish and English
• 1 year minimum prescribing Buprenorphine
• Proof of Active Board Certification
• Ability to work in-office at least 5hrs per week
• Credentialing process may take ~3 months before eligibility

Compensation

$100/hr/group

Schedule

5-10 hours per week. Hours are flexible to accommodate provider schedule within reason M-F (9am-8pm). No weekends.

Responsibilities

Nurse Practitioner/ Advance Practice Nurse (1099)

• Assist in conducting intakes. Providers see patients after they have already undergone an extensive evaluation by the counselor.
• Monitor patients' clinical progress at regular group counseling sessions. Groups are run by specialized counseling staff; providers participate by answering questions and managing patients’ medication dosing.
• Authorize patients' prescriptions during monthly visits with patient panels.
• Complete all notes and reporting in Groups EMR system within required timeline (providers receive full orientation/ training on Clinical Protocols before eligible to begin work with Groups)
• We utilize strict protocols to guide clinical decision-making. We have also developed a unique, technology-driven and team-based clinical system that handles all day-to-day patient management and regulatory compliance. This allows physicians to focus exclusively on medical management.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner/ Advance Practice Nurse (1099) Requirements

• Active, Unencumbered State License (NP/APRN) in the State in which you are applying.
• Active, Individual DEA with address listed in the State in which you are applying ( please note that if you intend on prescribing in multiple states, a separate DEA is required in each state in which you are planning on prescribing ).
• DEAX designation as formerly required to prescribe Buprenorphine *or* proof of 8hrs of qualified training as assigned by SAMHSA will be required.
• Billingual in Spanish and English
• 1 yr. Minimum Actively Prescribing Buprenorphine
• Proof of Active Board Certification
• Ability to work in-office at least 5hrs per week.
• Eligibility for hours will commence approximately 3 months after initiation of the credentialing process.
