Position: Big Data Architect

Location: Princeton, NJ

Duration: Long Term

Responsibilities

• Minimum 12+ years of IT industry experience.
• Hands‑on expertise of 5+ years with Big Data tools and technologies such as Google BigQuery.
• Manage onsite/offshore teams of 10 or more in delivering software development services.
• Take end‑to‑end responsibility for project delivery from the Big Data track, including team building, schedule assignments, monitoring, reviewing, reporting project status, managing risks, and production releases.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Big Data analysis, data management, data migration, data governance, and handling data warehouse (raw data, atomic data store, data mart) and big data workloads (event‑based log data).
• Solution design, data and technical architecture, component design, technical oversight, and data governance.
• Facilitate requirements gathering interviews, conduct workshops, issue clarifications, review documentation, ensure traceability, obtain stakeholder sign‑off, and own change management.
• Lead estimation activity using FP, SMC estimation methodologies and review estimates.
• Prepare high‑level and detailed design for implementing specified requirements.
• Perform development activities.
• Support system integration testing, performance testing, UAT, and release management.
• Prepare production deployment plans, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure successful production activities.
• Prepare detailed project schedules and manage changes to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Allocate activities to right people, mentor the team in competency development, drive reward & recognition processes, and team building.
• Serve as SPOC to the customer for project related activities, provide regular reports, manage expectations, and align customer vision with delivery.
• Document and share team learnings, leverage knowledge from other projects.
