Qualifications

• Evidence of formal theological education.
• Ordained, in the process of ordination, or willingness to be ordained in the C&MA.
• Can see themselves in a lead pastor role.
• Agreement with SBCA’s mission, vision, and values.
• Agreement with the C&MA statement of faith.
• Character marked by humility, integrity, emotional maturity, and teachability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support SBCA ministry teams and volunteers.
• Preach 1-2 Sunday worship services per month.
• Develop leaders and mentor volunteers.
• Attend and lead Elders/Board/Deacon/Member meetings.
• Plan outreach events and maintain church calendar.
• Ensure safe ministry practices and child protection policies.
• Balance responsibilities with bi-vocational duties.
