Job summary

Allegis Group is seeking an Allegis Corporate Services BI Developer in Hanover, MD to deliver dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc tools using a modern data stack. The role emphasizes building scalable data models, data quality, and AI-assisted workflows within a collaborative BI team.

You will work with Snowflake SQL, Python, and agentic AI to translate business needs into actionable analytics and visualizations, while supporting production systems and documentation.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Analytics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience developing BI, analytics, data, or reporting solutions.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Snowflake Cortex, Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, Copilot).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to BI solutions through the full delivery lifecycle from requirements to production support.
• Build scalable data models using Snowflake SQL and ensure data quality.

Overview

Job Summary:

The Allegis Corporate Services (ACS) Business Intelligence (BI) Developer will play a key role in delivering analytical applications such as dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc tools to the organization. This strategic position involves developing innovative visualizations and enterprise-wide insights within the ACS Business Intelligence & Analytics department using a modern data stack.

Responsibilities include enhancement and maintenance of the current BI platform and creating new capabilities with advanced data transformation and visualization tools. The ideal candidate will be proficient in cloud data warehouses like Snowflake and experienced in modular data model creation for reporting. The BI Developer should be able to work independently and understand their work's broader impact on the organization.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Contribute to BI solutions through the full delivery lifecycle, including requirements discovery, source assessment, data modeling, visualization, testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, stakeholder communication, and production support.
• Build scalable, reusable, and well-documented data models using Snowflake SQL.
• Ensure high data quality through automated validation and discrepancy resolution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions using a modern data stack.
• Develop, maintain, and document QA processes, incorporating automated testing.
• Integrate agentic AI into daily workflows to optimize analytics and reporting results.
• Code, test, and support BI systems, ensuring seamless cloud integration and performance.
• Create interactive visualizations from multiple data sources that are intuitive, trusted, and designed to drive business action through clear insight and strong user experience.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and generate predictive insights.
• Create and maintain documentation for processes, tools, and content areas.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Two or more years of experience developing BI, analytics, data, or reporting solutions, or demonstrated equivalent capability through relevant work, projects, or technical experience.
• Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools, such as Snowflake Cortex, Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, and Microsoft Copilot, to accelerate data analysis, code development, documentation, and visualization workflows.
• Knowledge of the staffing industry and economic/market trends is a plus.

Skills/Abilities:

• Experience with Snowflake
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational data concepts, including joins, filters, aggregation, data grain, and basic data-quality validation.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding and Agentic AI for data analysis and visualization.
• Strong analytical skills to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Working knowledge of Python; strong knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
• Excellent technical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to identify and automate test scenarios for system and user testing.
• Skilled in troubleshooting code and data quality issues with diagnostic and monitoring tools.
• Effective proactive communication of project status, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders.

• $87,100-$137,000
• The position is bonus eligible

• Required in office 4 days a week out of our headquarters in Hanover, MD
