Job summary

Ameris Bank is seeking a Business Intelligence Database Administrator to monitor and optimize SQL Server-based data warehousing and BI reporting. You will develop ETL processes, support Power BI and SSRS reporting, and work with the BI stack including SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI to deliver reliable insights.

The role requires 3+ years with SQL Server 2016+ and a bachelor’s degree, with a focus on data quality, performance tuning, and collaboration across IT and business teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience with SQL Server 2016+ components including SSIS, SSRS, and index creation/management.
• Experience designing and documenting BI solutions and data models.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document business reporting requirements and identify appropriate reporting mechanisms.
• Design solutions with BI Architect to meet stakeholder expectations.
• Create functional requirements and design documents to ensure business requirements are recorded.
• Improve efficiency and usability of BI solutions through ongoing research and understanding of business needs.
• Provide support to end users and IT colleagues.
