Job summary

Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation seeks a detail‑oriented Software Development Analyst to join our team. You will help design, analyze, test and implement software solutions for internal and external web applications, working with BI tools to support data analytics and reporting.

The role emphasizes strong communication, analytical thinking and collaboration with diverse teams. Most positions are on-site at Columbus offices with flex-time options and a stable, full-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Support systems analysis and solution design by gathering requirements, recommending application solutions, assisting with documentation and participating in testing and implementation activities.
• Extract, analyze and report data from various sources using tools such as Python, SQL, Tableau and Cognos to support business intelligence needs.
• Collaborate with business partners and technical teams to identify system requirements refine software functionality and support IT quality assurance standards and testing processes.
• Assist in developing and maintaining BI programs scripts dashboards and automated processes for reporting data transformation analysis and visualization.
• Prepare written summaries and lead discussions with technical and non-technical audiences on BI topics contribute to user guides and training materials and mentor peers through knowledge sharing and documentation.
