Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a data analyst for the VisionLink team within Cat Digital to gather stakeholder requirements for equipment management applications.

You will analyze large datasets to deliver insights that inform product enhancements and go-to-market strategies. Responsibilities include developing reports and dashboards, documenting technical specifications, and supporting senior analysts with data requests.

Qualifications

• Experience querying and analyzing large data sets with Snowflake or similar tools.
• Experience with AI workflows such as data pipeline engineering and prompt engineering.
• Proven experience designing and prototyping dynamic views/visualizations in Tableau and/or Power BI (2+ years).
• Experience delivering production deployed data solutions (2+ years).
• Self-starter who works well in a team.
• Strong attention to detail to spot data or code inaccuracies.
• Experience with data structures using SQL.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, testing, and delivery of reports and dashboards; analyze offerings and document upgrades.
• Capture user requirements for reports/dashboards and define technical specs; prepare documentation and hand off to analysts/teams.
• Support senior analysts by fulfilling data requests, preparing reports, and providing technical assistance.
