Job summary

Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) Registered Nurse Float to deliver evidence-based care across multiple mental health clinics in West Plains, Sikeston, Farmington, Paragould, Pocahontas, and Cape HCC. Includes leadership in education, coordination of care, and participation in Shared Governance.

Position requires RN licensure, two years of nursing experience (including MH), and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by accrediting bodies with current US licensure.
• English language proficiency for direct patient care.
• State license as a registered nurse or eligibility to obtain one.
• Experience in mental health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care in BHIP and float assignments.
• Coordinate with licensed vocational nurses and nursing assistants as applicable.
• Provide education, competency development, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain documentation of triage, risk screenings, and plans of care per policy.
• Travel to multiple MO/AR clinics as assigned.
