Job summary

Urth Caffe in Laguna Beach is seeking a reliable Drink Runner to bring beverages from the kitchen to guests promptly, while assisting staff with setup, stock, and maintaining a clean runner station. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will lift or move items up to 25 lbs, follow food safety guidelines, and ensure guests have everything needed for their drinks.

Previous restaurant experience is helpful; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a restaurant setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with food handling and basic kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines and practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Setup tables, chairs, heaters and umbrellas (Rotate during the week)
• Stock straws, napkins, saucers and spoons in runner station.
• Run all beverages during shift. Refill bottled beverages.
• Clean and polish French presses.
• When delivering drinks to the Guest, bring napkins, utensils and straws. Always repeat the drinks to the Guest and ask if they are waiting for anything else, if not then take away the table number and ask them to enjoy their beverages.
• Refill the ice drawer, cups and lemons throughout the shift
• Make sure to keep the bar runner area clean at all times.
• Responsible to call out the correct name of the customer and able to provide the full description of the drink.
• Follow food safety standards and procedures at all times.
