Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Beverage Equipment Service Tech A to join our team in the field. The role provides repair service for beverage equipment across an assigned territory, emphasizing excellent customer service and problem resolution.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance and document work using handheld devices. Travel may be daily with overnight stays; valid license and strong problem skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in beverage equipment repair or related field.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Willingness to travel daily; overnight travel may be required.
• Knowledge of electrical components, electronics, plumbing, refrigeration.
• Ability to use SAP, IFS, Word, Excel.
• Capable of coaching/training others (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide repair service within an assigned territory to vendors’ equipment.
• Interact with customers daily to diagnose, educate and support.
• Maintain and repair equipment; diagnose, test components.
• Review daily activity and re-assign work within territory.
• Manage truck operation, cleanliness and parts inventory.

Provides exceptional customer service while representing PBV with each customer. Learns PBV operations, specific industry equipment, repair processes and governmental guidelines.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesProvides “Service that Sells.” Interacts with customers daily to diagnose, educate and support while ensuring customer expectations and PBV business objectives are met.Possesses advanced skill set of Beverage Equipment Service Technician B.Maintains and manages equipment, including diagnostics, repair, and testing components using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment.Meets Pepsi-Cola North America (PCNA) quality objectives, to include Preventative Maintenance (PM) performed and Reactive Repair (RR) to drive revenue.Uses Hand-held Computer to ensure accuracy of call detail, parts management, equipment location, and work performed.Reviews daily activity to re-assign work within territory.Manages and controls truck operation, cleanliness, and parts inventory. Meets commercial vehicle regulations.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Minimum (2) two years’ experience in beverage equipment repair or related field (small appliance, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration).Coursework in aforementioned fields may substitute for experience.Good oral and written communication skills.Able to meet PBV’s driving guidelines, valid driver’s license with good driving record.Must be able to travel daily to assigned accounts.
