The Opportunity

Happier Grocery is seeking an experienced Beverage Bar Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our in-store beverage bar. This role oversees team leadership, beverage quality, service, cleanliness, and operational execution while creating a welcoming, high-touch experience for every guest. The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, develops strong teams, and takes ownership of delivering a consistently elevated beverage experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, coach, and develop Beverage Bar team members, setting clear expectations for performance, service, and operational standards.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing, constructive feedback and development.
• Address staffing issues promptly and help maintain effective coverage during peak business periods.

Beverage Quality & Customer Experience

• Maintain high standards of beverage quality, consistency, presentation, and speed of service.
• Foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Proactively engage with customers to introduce new beverages, seasonal offerings, special promotions, and the overall Happier Bar experience.
• Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally, thoughtfully, and with urgency.

Operations & Standards

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the day-to-day beverage bar operation.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, food safety requirements, and health and sanitation regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the bar area, including equipment, utensils, ingredients, and workstations.
• Handle operational challenges, including equipment malfunctions or unexpected business needs, promptly and effectively.
• Implement contingency plans as needed to maintain smooth operations during high-volume periods or unforeseen circumstances.

Cross-Functional Partnership

• Collaborate with store leadership, kitchen teams, and other departments to coordinate food and beverage service and support a seamless customer experience.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and leadership to ensure smooth operations, strong execution, and guest satisfaction.
• Participate in the development, testing, and updating of beverage menus, sharing customer and team feedback to support continuous improvement.

PRINCIPAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

• 2+ years of management or supervisory experience in coffee, beverage, hospitality, food service, or a similar high-volume environment.
• Strong working knowledge of beverage bar operations, including quality standards, sanitation, food safety, and service execution.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold teams accountable in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong hospitality mindset with a passion for creating welcoming, memorable customer experiences.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
