Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC's WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a BESS Project Manager for a 1-year contract in Juno Beach, FL. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across development, engineering, estimating, supply chain, scheduling and construction, guiding projects from early stage to construction.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Construction Management or Finance, 6+ years' experience, PMP certification, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Finance/Accounting with experience in related engineering and construction of renewable energy projects. Experience with electricity markets, renewables, or battery projects is helpful.
• PMP Certification and advanced Excel skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate highly matrixed project development teams to meet project schedule and allocate resources.
• Collaborate with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, interconnection teams to address project variables.
• Define the project's technical scope.
• Optimize project variables for technical and financial feasibility.
• Support PPA and GIA negotiations with origination and development teams.
• Assist development teams with jurisdictional needs.
• Coordinate engineering, estimating and procurement requirements.
• Support E&C engineering team with technical attributes for designs.
• Support E&C cost estimating in developing financial models.
• Source, negotiate and execute contracts for geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction services.
• Represents E&C interests on projects.
• Use various software to manage data, deliverables, and KPI reporting.
• Present progress and risk mitigation to management.

About the role:

We are looking for a BESS Project Manager on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment. (W-2) You will join the Engineering & Construction (E&C) Team in Juno Beach, FL. You will be responsible for daily project coordination. This coordination involves internal and external resources to support multiple activities, including Development, Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, Scheduling, and Construction. These activities span from pre-construction (Early Stage) up to the point of Construction for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects within the.

Engineering and Construction (E&C).

1-year contract assignment. (W-2)

Key Responsibilities:

• Critical coordination of highly matrixed project development teams to ensure resources are focused on the right activity at the right time to meet project schedule.
• Coordinate with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, interconnection, etc., to ensure all project variables are identified and incorporated.
• Develop the project's technical scope.
• Optimize project variables to improve both technical and financial feasibility.
• Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations.
• Support development teams with jurisdictional needs.
• Coordinate engineering, estimating and procurement requirements.
• Support the E&C engineering team with technical attributes for the development of designs.
• Support the E&C cost estimating team for development of financial model.
• Competitively source, negotiate and execute commercial contracts for critical
• services including geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction services.
• Uphold and represent E&C's interests on assigned projects.
• Engage in a variety of software applications to support your activities, manage critical data and deliverables as well as report on key indicators.
• Present project progress and risk mitigation in meetings with various levels of management.
• Ensure projects moving to the Construction stage can be turned over to the Construction Project Manager with an inclusive and executable construction plan.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience (Experience: 6+ years)
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Finance/Accounting with experience in related engineering and construction of renewable energy projects. Experience with electricity markets, renewables, or battery projects is helpful.
