Job summary

Moss is seeking a BESS Electrical Assistant Superintendent to coordinate, plan, and support Superintendents, contractors, and craft activities on large utility solar projects across multiple states. You will interact with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, MV experience, and willingness to travel 100% with rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with medium voltage equipment and cable installation.
• Experience supporting large self-perform projects.
• Proficiency in installation, testing, acceptance, maintenance, and repair of MV cables.
• Knowledge of testing methods: Hi-pot, capacitance discharge, Megger, TTR, Doble.
• Working knowledge of electrical drawings, duct banks, trenching, and distribution/collection systems.
• Current driver's license; willingness to travel 100% with rotations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support electrical portions of large utility solar projects.
• Review drawings, submittals, and RFIs with engineering and craft teams.
• Develop project schedules and three-week look-ahead with superintendents.
• Ensure resources and safety for field teams; monitor quality of work.
• Manage subcontractor procurement and coordination with site activities.
• Supervise installation, splicing, and termination of fiber optic cables.
• Attend project meetings and liaise between engineers and field staff.
• Provide leadership, training, and performance feedback to field personnel.
