Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking an Assistant Electrical Superintendent to oversee BESS construction across utility-scale projects. The role is based full-time on a Clay, CA jobsite and focuses on safe, successful project execution.

Responsibilities include leading field operations, mentoring crew, hiring craft labor, coordinating with engineering/procurement, and ensuring quality control. Strong leadership and travel readiness are required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in utility-scale renewable construction, with energy storage experience preferred.
• Experience supervising union labor and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of testing and commissioning.
• Ability to travel and work on project sites.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day field operations of energy storage projects.
• Mentor junior level employees and develop team capabilities.
• Hire and develop craft labor employees and coordinate staffing.
• Develop and implement operations procedures for consistency across projects.
• Ensure adherence to the Energy Storage Division’s Quality Control plan.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and compliance with safety and policies.
• Foster a safety-first culture and continuous improvement within the team.
• Support in creating project schedules, labor/equipment plans, and sequencing.
• Review design documents for constructability and provide feedback.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, estimating and other internal departments.
• Communicate with project owners, utilities, regulators, vendors and contractors.
• Track status and metrics for reporting to senior management.
