Job summary

Bert Ogden Auto Group in Harlingen, TX is seeking a Lube Technician to perform express lube duties on vehicles, including oil and filter changes and basic lubrication.

You will follow safety rules, maintain a clean work area, report repairs to the service advisor, and participate in required training. A valid Texas driver license is required, and you must pass a drug screen and a background check.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver License.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs express lube duties on vehicles.
• Drains and replaces oil and filter, lubricates joints including idler arm steering knuckles, tie rod ends and ball joints.
• Reports necessary repairs to service advisor.
• Installs LOF reminder sticker in vehicle.
• Checks and refills fluids (battery, tire pressure, windshield fluid, transmission and power steering fluids).
• Checks coolant level and refills as necessary.
• Ensures vehicle is clean and free of fluid residue or fingerprints.
• Maintains appropriate fuel and fluid levels prior to release.

The Lube Technician is responsible for performing express lube duties on vehicles.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following

• Adheres to express lube guidelines.
• Performs lube, oil and filter changes by draining and replacing oil and filter, and lubricating all joints, including idler arm steering knuckles, tie rods ends and ball joints.
• Reports all necessary repairs to service advisor.
• Installs completed LOF reminder sticker in vehicle.
• Checks battery, tire air pressure, windshield fluid, transmission fluid and power steering fluid levels and refills as needed.
• Checks coolant level and refills as necessary.
• Ensures that vehicle is clean and free of fluid residue or fingerprints.
• Checks fluid level prior to release of vehicle to ensure proper levels.
• Maintains CSI at or above Company standards
• Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
• Participates in required training
• Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
• Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
• Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values
• Complies with Company policies and procedures
• Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
• Other duties as assigned
