Job summary

Charlie Health, Inc. in Nashville seeks a reimbursement specialist to drive the foundational stages of the authorization and billing cycle. You will manage initial and mid-stay authorizations, payor notifications, and daily billing system triaging to secure timely reimbursements.

The role requires 2–3 years in healthcare admin, strong payor knowledge, and meticulous attention to detail. Hybrid work four days/week in Nashville is available, supporting revenue integrity and compliant claims.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of healthcare administrative experience; billing, prior authorizations, insurance verification, or claims management.
• Strong knowledge of prior authorization processes and payor portals.
• Experience with RCM billing systems and workflow triage.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for insurance payors.
• Detail-oriented to record dates, service dates, and policy numbers.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple changes.
• Able to work a hybrid schedule in Nashville within 75 minutes of the office.

Responsibilities

• Submit initial authorization requests and track progress through final payor outcome to ensure coverage is active prior to service delivery.
• Manage and submit new policy authorization requests for active clients with changes in coverage mid-treatment stay.
• Issue timely notifications of non‑admission to specific payors to remain compliant with contractual notice requirements.
• Triaging and prioritizing daily worklog tasks within the RCM billing system to resolve bottlenecks and keep claims moving forward.
• Execute ad hoc authorization and billing tasks as directed by management to support department workflows.
