Job summary

The Hollister Group is seeking a Benefits Representative to join a benefits team serving a dynamic higher-education community in Cambridge, MA. You will guide employees and retirees through benefits questions and interpret plan provisions, ensuring enrollments and changes are processed accurately.

Our client is seeking a Benefits Representative who can confidently guide employees and retirees through benefits questions, interpret plan provisions, and ensure enrollments and changes are processed accurately. Compensation

$34.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Advise faculty, staff, retirees, beneficiaries, and vested terminated employees on benefits eligibility, plan provisions, enrollment options, and change procedures
• Address benefit-related questions that require strong policy knowledge and, at times, additional investigation to resolve complex scenarios
• Administer enrollments, updates, qualified status changes, and cancellations for health, dental, vision, life, and flexible spending account (FSA) plans
• Support operational improvement by developing process documentation and workflow maps and proposing practical enhancements when opportunities are identified

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience handling HR/benefits inquiries with a strong grasp of benefits policies and procedures
• Ability to research and resolve nuanced or complex benefits questions with accuracy and professionalism
• Hands-on experience processing benefit enrollments and changes across medical and related benefit programs (health, dental, vision, life, and FSA)
• Strong documentation skills, including creating process guides and/or workflow charts to improve team efficiency
