Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is seeking a benefits systems analyst to interpret and analyze benefit plan designs, and to document requirements for programming benefits in RULEs. You will program and audit benefit data structures, coordinate with IS and business teams, and develop solutions for claims adjudication and eligibility.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Associate degree and 2+ years of analytical experience; strong problem solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or 2 years of job related analytical experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, MIS or Business Administration.
• Two years of experience in systems analysis, statistical analysis, claims processing or information systems.
• Four years related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, analyze, and document benefit plan designs and requirements.
• Program and/or audit benefit data structures and RULEs; perform quality control audits.
• Coordinate with IS and business customers on development, setup and testing of benefit data structures and RULEs.
• Develop process solutions for claims adjudication and eligibility; respond to inquiries and provide data-driven updates.
