Job summary

Orion Placement in Beverly, MA, seeks an experienced Benefits Administrator for a full-time on-site role. You will own benefits programs, enrollments, payroll support, and compliance, working closely with employees, managers, and HR leadership.

Requirements include 4+ years in benefits administration, a Bachelor's in HR/Business, and proficiency with HRIS/HCM systems and Paylocity. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of benefits administration experience
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits and compliance requirements
  • Experience administering FMLA and other leave programs
  • Experience supporting annual open enrollment
  • Payroll administration experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefit programs and serve as a resource for employees and managers
  • Manage benefit enrollments, eligibility changes, terminations, and carrier updates
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment communications and system testing
  • Reconcile benefit invoices and maintain vendor information
  • Support bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll processing
  • Review timekeeping, earnings, deductions, and payroll reports for accuracy
  • Maintain payroll records, tax elections, and direct deposits
  • Support year-end payroll processes and W-2 preparation
  • Administer employee leave programs including FMLA and PFML
  • Ensure compliance with COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and FLSA
  • Maintain data in HRIS/HCM platforms
  • Assist employees with benefit, payroll, and HR-system questions
  • Partner with vendors and stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes

Pay: $88,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Location

Note

Candidates must have 4+ years of benefits administration experience with strong knowledge of employee benefits, leave administration, and related compliance requirements. Payroll and HRIS or HCM experience are highly valued.

Job Description
  • Administer employee benefit programs and serve as a knowledgeable resource for employees and managers

  • Reconcile benefit invoices and maintain accurate vendor and carrier information
  • Support accurate bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll processing
  • Review timekeeping, earnings, deductions, payroll changes, and related reports for accuracy
  • Maintain payroll records, tax elections, direct deposits, deductions, and employee information
  • Support year-end payroll processes, W-2 preparation, audits, and reconciliations
  • Administer employee leave programs including FMLA and Massachusetts PFML
  • Help ensure compliance with COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, FLSA, and other applicable requirements
  • Maintain accurate employee data within HRIS and HCM platforms
  • Assist employees with benefit, payroll, leave, and HR-system questions
  • Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and accurately
  • Identify opportunities to improve, streamline, and automate HR processes
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of benefits administration experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits and applicable compliance requirements
  • Experience administering FMLA, PFML, COBRA, and other leave programs
  • Experience supporting annual open enrollment
  • Payroll administration experience strongly preferred
  • HRIS or HCM system experience required
  • Paylocity experience highly desirable
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and employee-service skills
  • Manufacturing or similar operational environment experience preferred
