Vinfen, a nonprofit health and human services organization with 3,500 employees across Massachusetts and Connecticut, seeks a Benefits Administrator.
You will administer medical, dental, vision, life and disability plans, manage FSA/COBRA, ensure premium payments, ACA eligibility, and HRIS data accuracy.
The role requires 3–5 years in benefits administration, a Bachelor’s degree, strong Excel and communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information.
Assists with the administration of retirement and health and welfare employee benefit programs. Compiles, analyzes, and reports data, including employee data and plan financials for strategic benefits planning and evaluation. Provides benefit plan interpretation, guidance, and counsel to employees. Manages leaves of absence. Creates and presents information to inform and educate both management and direct care employees.

Typical Requirements:Three to five years’ experience in benefits administration strongly preferred.
Preferred /Required Education:Bachelor’s degree is required. In some instances, experience may be substituted for academic training.
Driving Requirements:Driving is not required.
Physical Effort:Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copier, and printer.
Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time as needed.
Ability to bend, reach, file, sit, stand and move around the facility.
Ability to speak, hear and communicate with clients, staff and external representatives.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperception, and ability to adjust focus.
