Job summary

Lyons Magnus, LLC in Walton, KY is seeking a Bench Technician to support the Quality Assurance team. You will verify pre-production analyses, adjust work orders, calibrate lab equipment, and guide Operations on product corrections to keep finished goods in spec.

The role requires a High School Diploma and at least two years of manufacturing experience, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred and strong problem-solving abilities. Evening schedule supports production needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing and adjustments to ensure product is in spec prior to filling.
• Calibrate laboratory equipment daily and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with QA Technicians, Product Development, and Operations to troubleshoot and prevent recurrence of failures.
• Submit change requests in ERP or relevant systems based on performance analysis.

A member of the Quality Assurance Department, the Bench Technician is responsible for verification of pre-production analytical analysis, feedback and adjustments to specific work orders to ensure a compliant finished product. The position will analyze samples, coordinate a response, and instruct Operations partners on respective product corrections. This position will also handle the daily calibration of laboratory test equipment. The QA Lead or Coordinator will assume responsibilities in the absence of this position.

Hours: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Weekend OT as needed

Work Environment: Laboratory Environment

Core Responsibilities:

• Ensure completion of analytical testing, color and sensory; makes adjustments as
• needed to ensure product is in spec prior to filling.
• Ensures that the formulas are pulled and updated for the next production daily.
• Immediately report and escalate failures as encountered during evaluation process
• against expected specification ranges.
• Partner with the Quality Assurance Technicians, Product Development, and Operations
• in problem solving/root causing and preventing recurrence of failures.
• Submit BOM change request documentation as instructed based on historical product
• performance analysis or other relevant triggers.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of results are inputted in ERP system, or
• customer database (if needed).
• Conduct daily calibrations of laboratory equipment.
• Completes the McDonald’s Sensory testing as specified by the customer.
• All other projects and tasks as assigned by QA Leadership.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge on aseptic, canning, hot/cold fill processes with experience on executing
• quality control and assurance verification activities.
• A good communicator of respective information and ability to build strong relationships
• with minimal supervision.
• Successfully demonstrates good decision making when making batch adjustments.
• Must be able to perform job in allotted time.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma and a minimum of two years' experience in a manufacturing
• environment or equivalent years of training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred background and knowledge of on-the-job training in a manufacturing
• environment
• Preferred experience in critical thinking and problem solving.
