Job summary

A leading staffing firm in New York is seeking a motivated candidate for an Analytical R&D position. You will contribute to the development of biological therapeutics, providing analytical testing support and general laboratory assistance. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in protein analytical testing and techniques such as HPLC and Spectroscopy, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. Familiarity with laboratory information systems and GLP procedures is a plus.

Job Description

• The qualified candidate will join the Analytical R&D organization and will contribute to the development of biological therapeutics. Within Analytical R&D, the candidate will provide the analytical testing support for the Conjugation Process group.
• The qualified candidate will be responsible for general laboratory support.
• A knowledge and awareness of mechanism of action and the impact of structure on function for biotherapeutic products is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must be self‑motivated, organized and have strong attention to detail. Proficient computer software skills (MS Office - MSWord, Excel, Outlook). Good organizational, communication skills.
• A good understanding of chemistry/biochemistry and macromolecule analytics.
• Requirements/Skill Level: Experience in protein analytical testing and applying a broad range of analytical techniques (HPLC, CE, Spectroscopy, etc.). Familiar with GLP procedures and Empower chromatographic data acquisition software and laboratory information systems (e.g. LIMS system, eLN), and demonstrated ability to support lab staff in the use of such systems will be considered a strong plus.
