Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass FAA-regulated drug test and background check.
• Experience sanding, grinding, or similar manufacturing preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate bench sanders to smooth surfaces, remove rough edges, and finish parts
• Prepare materials and workpieces for sanding
• Adjust sanding belts, discs, and equipment settings based on the material and required finish
• Inspect parts before, during, and after sanding for quality
• Replace worn sanding belts or discs as needed
• Clean and maintain sanding equipment and work areas
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment
• Document completed work and equipment adjustments as required

Operate bench sanders to smooth surfaces, remove rough edges, and finish parts Prepare materials and workpieces for sanding Adjust sanding belts, discs, and equipment settings based on the material and required finish Inspect parts before, during, and after sanding for quality Replace worn sanding belts or discs as needed Clean and maintain sanding equipment and work areas Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment Document completed work and equipment adjustments as required

Additional Qualifications

Experience working with metal, wood, plastic, or other materials using sanding equipment preferred Ability to safely operate hand and stationary tools Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining consistent quality Dependable and punctual Comfortable working in a production environment
