Job summary

StandardAero, Inc. invites applicants for an Entry Level Bench Operator position in Palm City, FL.

The role provides hands-on training and mentorship from experienced aviation maintenance professionals to build skills and confidence in blade preparation. You will learn to set up and operate tools, support different shop areas as priorities shift, and develop proficiency in blade blending, grinding, and finishing processes.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand for at least 50% of shift.
• Experience reading manuals, drawings or blueprints preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hand tools such as hammers, files, drills, grinders and presses.
• Operate low temperature ovens and grinders for blade preparation.
• Blending, blasting and stripping of aircraft engine blades.
• Chase threads, deburr, angle check and coldworking of metals.
• Other duties as assigned.

Through hands-on training and mentorship from experienced aviation maintenance professionals, you'll gain the skills and confidence to succeed and grow.

As a Bench Operator, you'll use a variety of tools to prepare several types of aircraft engine blades and compressor blades for repair. You'll have the opportunity to learn and support different areas of the shop.

What you'll do:

• Set up and operate a variety of hand tools such as hammers, files, dremel's, drills, presses, pedestal grinders and belt grinders
• Operate low temperature ovens and hand grinders to perform various operations
• Blending, blasting & stripping of aircraft engine blades
• Chasing threads, deburring, angle checking, coldworking metals and masking
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
• Ability to stand for at least 50% of shift

Desired Skills

• Experienced with hand tools and/or power tools.
• Previous experience reading/interpreting manuals, technical drawings, and /or blueprints.
• Flexible to support different areas of the shop as priorities shift day to day.
• Team player attitude and flexible with leaning in to assist with duties outside work scope.

Pay rate: $20 - 22/HR
