Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Grocery Manager to lead the grocery department, drive sales, manage inventory, and ensure high standards of service and merchandising.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with store leadership, and uphold company policies while maintaining product quality and safety across the department.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality required.

• Ability to lift 40 lbs. consistently and 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• 1-3 years of supermarket knowledge.

• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts and operate pallet jack for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the grocery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, wage percent, and profits for the grocery department.
• Maintain inventory and supplies to maximize sales and minimize excess stock.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines.
• Ensure product quality meets standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to staff.
• Perform product stocking and guest service as needed.
• Maintain staffing and scheduling standards.
• Control grocery shrink through stock loss program.
• Ensure proper pricing and item scanning through audits.
• Keep backroom properly maintained.
• Ensure advertised items are available, signed and scanning correctly.
• Help prepare grocery department for inventory.
• Collaborate with Store Manager and Receiver on product levels and conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

To gain the skills, knowledge, and expertise to be considered a successful Grocery Manager. To supervise and ensure that Lowes Foods guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations are maintained in the grocery department to achieve maximum sales. Assume the duties of the Department Manager in their absence.

• 7. Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure grocery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• 8. Perform product stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• 9. Maintain department’s staffing and scheduling standards.
• 10. Control grocery shrink through proper implementation of the stock loss program.
• 11. Ensure proper pricing and item scanning through price audits and proper scanning procedures.
• 12. Ensure backroom is properly maintained.
• 13. Ensure advertised items are available, signed and are scanning correctly.
• 14. Help prepare grocery department for grocery inventory.
• 15. Works with Store Manager, Grocery Manager and Receiver to maintain product level and conditions associated with vendor product.
