Job summary

Wonder is a mealtime platform that lets customers mix and match dishes from 20+ exclusive restaurants in a single order. As Assistant General Manager, you will own the four walls of your location, leading kitchen, service, fulfillment, and customer experience to peak performance in every shift.

You will optimize labor, drive KPI outcomes, coach hourly team members, and ensure food safety and brand standards while collaborating with the Senior Operations Leader on hiring and training to prepare

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience managing shift operations in food service, retail, hospitality, or a similar setting.
  • Experience owning operational KPIs including labor deployment, order accuracy, and throughput.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator with structure and positivity.
  • Able to coach frontline employees with clarity, empathy, and consistency.
  • Must be 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute day-to-day operations across kitchen, fulfillment, service, and customer experience.
  • Optimize labor deployment and lead shift readiness to meet volume and throughput targets.
  • Proactively use data/feedback to identify issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks to maintain flow and brand standards.
  • Lead and coach hourly team members with accountability and safety.
  • Partner with Senior Operations Leader on hiring, training and development.
  • Drive operational excellence and ensure brand standard adherence across all stations.
  • Manage inventory levels, waste reduction, labeling standards, and food cost targets.
  • Provide actionable feedback and support pilots for company-wide rollout.
