Lowes Foods in Kernersville, NC is seeking a Deli Manager to supervise the deli department operations, maintain guest service standards, and execute merchandising programs. The role requires overseeing day-to-day activities and acting in the Department Manager's absence.

You will lead staff, train associates, ensure product quality and safety, manage inventory and scheduling, and strive to achieve sales goals while controlling shrink and labor costs.

• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Performs PA announcements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Overview

To gain the skills, knowledge, and expertise to be considered a successful Deli Manager. To supervise and ensure that Lowes Foods guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations are maintained in the deli department to achieve maximum sales. Assume the duties of the Department Manager in their absence.

• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to effectively communicate with the Store Manager and Merchandiser.
• Ability to work well with computers.
